1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Speak Up English application (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

2. Service Description
Speak Up English is a mobile application designed to teach English through interactive lessons, avatars that explain content, and a pronunciation correction tool. The service is exclusively educational.

3. User Accounts
3.1 Registration
To access certain features of the App, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide truthful and updated information.

3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activities within your account. You must notify us immediately if you detect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Permitted Use
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, and revocable license to use the App solely for personal and educational purposes.

Prohibited actions include:
• Using the App for illegal or unauthorized purposes
• Attempting to decompile, copy, or modify the software
• Interfering with the operation of the App or its servers
• Using the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Creating content that is offensive, illegal, or inappropriate

5. User Content
5.1 Ownership
You retain rights over the content you generate (text, voice, etc.). However, you grant Speak Up English a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to process it solely for the operation of the App.

5.2 Responsibility
You are responsible for the content you generate and must share only permitted and appropriate material within the App.

6. Payments and Subscriptions
6.1 Payment Processing
All Speak Up English purchases and subscriptions are processed exclusively through:
• Google Play Store
• Apple App Store

6.2 Renewals
Subscriptions may automatically renew according to store policies. Cancellations can only be made from the user’s account in Google Play or App Store. Speak Up English does not provide direct refunds or manage internal cancellations.

7. Termination
7.1 By the User
You may request the deletion of your account by writing to: contact@speakupenglish.ai

7.2 By Speak Up English
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, cause harm to other users, or affect the operation of the service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or achieve specific learning outcomes.

9. Limitation of Liability
Speak Up English will not be liable for:
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Data loss or service interruptions
• Issues caused by third-party services
• Educational results obtained by the user

Use of the App is at your own risk.

10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Speak Up English from any claims arising from your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Modifications to the Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. The effective date will be updated and may be notified within the App. Continued use of the App constitutes your acceptance of the modifications.

12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Colombia. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with applicable Colombian law.
